On Wednesday morning, in the thick of the night at 2 AM, a bus overturned on its way from Narok town to Nairobi, killing 41. This brings those killed on Kenyan roads to more than 2,000, this year alone. Matatus, as public buses are known in Kenya, are notorious for bad driving and not sticking to set traffic rules. The bus here was said to be overloaded and speeding.
